PETALING JAYA:
A car landed on a beach in Langkawi after it plunged into a 10m ravine at Jalan Teluk Yu this morning.

Langkawi police chief Shariman Ashari said the 22-year-old driver was travelling to her workplace – a hotel at Pantai Kok – when she lost control of the vehicle at a bend.

“The car skidded and plunged into the ravine before crashing onto the beach. The driver escaped with minor injuries and was brought to Sultanah Maliha Hospital for treatment,” he said, according to Berita Harian.

Shariman said the incident is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act for careless and inconsiderate driving.
