Cops seek car driver in KL hit-and-run with motorcyclist

A viral video shows a car suddenly switching lanes on the Middle Ring Road 2 and colliding with a motorcycle before speeding off.

Police are looking for the driver of a car which was involved in a hit-and-run with a motorcyclist on the Middle Ring Road 2 near Pandan Indah in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

Ampang Jaya police chief Azam Ismail said a Mazda 3 in the Ampang-bound lane had suddenly switched from the right lane to the middle lane, striking the motorcycle and sending the rider hurtling to the ground.

Azam urged the driver of the car, the motorcyclist and witnesses to the crash to come forward and assist with investigations.

A viral dashcam video of the incident showed the Mazda speeding off after the crash. The condition of the victim is unknown, with police still working on identifying him.
