PETALING JAYA:
Police are tracking down the owner of a Facebook account who left a comment about “bombing mosques on Friday” on a video on the social media platform.

Sinar Harian reported that a 68-year-old trader filed a police report at the Sungai Udang police station in Melaka on Thursday evening over the remark, saying it threatened to harm national unity.

Melaka Tengah police chief Christopher Patit confirmed receiving the report and said the case is being investigated by officers in Johor as a prior report was filed there.

“The case will be referred to the first location where police received the complaint,” he was quoted as saying.

FMT has reached out to Johor police chief M Kumar for comment.
