PETALING JAYA:
Another body was found this evening after the floods in parts of Selangor, with the deceased believed to have died from electrocution.

Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim said the body was found in a single-storey house at Lorong Lembah Dua in Kampung Padang Jawa, Klang, after a member of the public called the police at about 6.10pm.

He said the victim was a Malaysian, aged 24, and there were no signs of any injury or that he was involved in a struggle before his death.

“We suspect that the deceased was electrocuted when using his handphone while it was being charged in his flooded home,” he said in a statement.

A post-mortem will be conducted tomorrow morning.

Earlier today, the body of a 27-year-old Sri Lankan national was found at a site used to store construction material in Section 25, Shah Alam. He was also believed to have been electrocuted.

A dog was found dead nearby and was also believed to have died from electrocution.
