In a statement, the company’s CEO, Gavin Lu, said the initiative, carried out yesterday, was aimed at reducing the financial hardship of these families, especially during the fasting month.
Apart from food packs, these selected families received bottled cooking oil, packets of rice and sugar, as well as soap and shampoo.
Lu said by working with GHCA, Best Inc Malaysia not only fulfilled its social responsibility but also presented its employees with the opportunity to be part of such a charitable cause.
“Our mission goes beyond logistics. We are dedicated to uplifting communities and supporting those in need.
“Through this initiative, we hope to ease the burden of these families and foster a sense of unity and kindness during this Ramadan,” he said.
Lu also said the company believes in the power of corporate responsibility and would continue to integrate initiatives that had a social impact on its business operations.
