Singaporean charged with drug trafficking in Johor

A Singaporean man has been charged with drug trafficking in Johor Bahru.

He was charged in the Johor Bahru court complex on Friday under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

The 33-year-old accused faces the death penalty or life imprisonment if convicted, China Press reported.

Johor Bahru Selatan police chief Raub Selamat previously said three Singaporeans and one Thai national, aged between 30 and 40, had been arrested for allegedly producing drug-laced vapes at a condominium unit they rented.

He said police seized seven types of drugs, including heroin, ketamine and cannabis, at the premises.

The group was believed to have been operating since December.

Today, Raub said the remaining three suspects would be remanded until Feb 5 as police continue their investigations.
