Lim expressed shock over the threats targeting the children, calling them “despicable, cowardly, and inhumane” and that they crossed “every imaginable line”.
“Reports have been made, and the police are investigating, so I will not be commenting further on the matter,” she said in an Instagram post today.
Lim also said the threats, coupled with relentless online attacks, led to a collective decision by Dewan Filharmonik Petronas and the family not to proceed with the show for safety reasons.

She described the decision as “heartbreaking” for Harith, who had spent months preparing for the show, and disappointing for the family, as two of their children were supposed to be part of the opening act.
“It saddens me to see people so consumed by hate that they dedicate hours to trolling and spreading anger.
“I was taught Allah asked Muslims to be kind to all people, regardless of their actions or status,” she said, calling for compassion and kindness as core values to uphold.
Harith is under investigation by the police for a satirical post on the use of the word “ham” following controversy over the halal status of sandwiches sold in a convenience store at Universiti Malaya.
He said in a Facebook post last week that his faith was shaken after seeing a menu advertising “Ham Sap Coffee” as it contained the word “ham”.
Yesterday, Dewan Filharmonik Petronas announced the cancellation of “DFP Punchline: Harith Iskander 35 Years Of Laughter”, without giving any reason.
