PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has cancelled his working visit to Pahang today because of health reasons, his office said.
The Prime Minister’s Office said the last-minute cancellation was made on the advice of Anwar’s medical team after he experienced back pain that limited his movement.
“The prime minister has been advised to get adequate rest,” the office said in a statement.
It said Anwar extended his sincere apologies, especially to the people of Pahang, who had made preparations for his visit.
Anwar wrapped up his working visit to South Korea yesterday after leading the Malaysian delegation at the Apec Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Gyeongju.
