PBAPP announces 14-hour water cut in Seberang Perai Selatan

The Penang Water Supply Corporation says the scheduled disruption will start at 10pm tomorrow and is expected to end by Wednesday noon.

PBAPP said the water supply disruption is due to the shutdown of a 600mm pipeline for the diversion works at Sungai Kerian, as part of a bridge upgrading project by JKR.

A total of 7,238 residential and commercial premises in Seberang Perai Selatan will experience a scheduled water supply disruption for 14 hours, beginning 10pm tomorrow.

The Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) announced that the disruption is due to the shutdown of a 600mm pipeline for the diversion works at Sungai Kerian, as part of a bridge upgrading project by the public works department (JKR).

The scheduled water supply disruption is expected to end at noon on Wednesday, affecting consumers in areas such as Jalan Besar Dato Keramat, Jalan Besar Permatang Keling, Jalan Sempadan and Permatang Tok Mahat.

Other areas affected include Tanjung Berembang, Sungai Acheh, Sungai Udang, Sungai Chenaam and Sungai Bakau.

PBAPP advised affected users to store sufficient water ahead of the disruption.

The corporation will provide updates on the status of the water supply interruption via its official Facebook page and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
