JOHOR BAHRU:
The Johor immigration department has launched an internal investigation after the autogate and QR code systems at the Sultan Iskandar Building’s bus passenger inspection zone malfunctioned at noon yesterday.

Its director, Rusdi Darus, said the malfunction was caused by a technical issue involving the building’s system and that immediate action was taken, with both systems fully restored by 6.30pm.

“We extend our sincere appreciation to the building management for their swift response in resolving the disruption.

“We will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the issue does not recur,” he said in a statement.

Rusdi said the department remained committed to ensuring the smooth flow of traffic at the main entry points connecting Malaysia and Singapore.
