PETALING JAYA:
Some stubborn drivers are still trying to pass through Jalan Aring 8-Kenyir-Kuala Jeneris near Hulu Terengganu, Terengganu, despite the road being partially collapsed, putting their lives at risk.

This has forced the public works department to completely block off the road with concrete barriers to prevent motorists from using the road, despite clear road closure signs being posted, Bernama reported.

Hulu Terengganu police chief Zainul Mujahidin Mat Yudin expects the road, which collapsed following a landslide affecting a 100m stretch, to remain closed for some time to allow for repairs.

A video of a four-wheel drive vehicle trying to pass through the road, going precariously close to the edge of the collapsed area, has gone viral.
