
Kelantan is the hardest-hit state, with the number of evacuees surging to 80,640, including 24,890 in Pasir Mas, while nine major rivers remain above their danger levels, Bernama reported.
Terengganu has the second highest number of victims – 35,124 – with Besut being the most affected (13,930 in 117 temporary relief centres) and Kuala Terengganu newly impacted.
In Kedah, the number of victims increased to 7,911, primarily in Kubang Pasu and Kota Setar.
Negeri Sembilan reported 2,174 evacuees taking shelter in 22 temporary relief centres in Kuala Pilah, Tampin, Jempol and Port Dickson.
Perlis has 520 victims from 149 families staying at four relief centres, up from 496 from 144 families last night.
The number of evacuees in Segamat and Tangkak in Johor increased to 425 as of 8am today, up from 305 last night, and in Melaka, the number rose to 229, with a fifth relief centre opened in Alor Gajah.
The situation in Perak was largely unchanged with 20 evacuees in Kerian, while Selangor saw a slight decrease to 473 evacuees in Klang.
The death toll remains at three.
