PETALING JAYA: A man is being investigated for animal abuse after a viral video showed him forcibly dragging a cat by its neck with a leash at a condominium building in Kuala Lumpur.
City police chief Rusdi Isa said a report was lodged at 5.26pm today by a member of the public who saw the viral video on a social media site. The incident allegedly took place at the Scott Garden condominium in Jalan Klang Lama.
“The case has been referred to the veterinary services department, which is investigating the issue for animal cruelty,” he said in a statement.
