
Party secretary-general Loke Siew Fook said Sabah DAP has a better understanding of the state’s political dynamics and environment, Bernama reported.
He added that he was in Labuan yesterday with newly-elected state DAP chief Phoong Jin Zhe, who provided Loke with an explanation on the political situation in Sabah.
“I have confidence in our new leadership,” Loke was quoted as saying.
GRS chairman and Sabah chief minister Hajiji Noor expects discussions among GRS components and allies, particularly Pakatan Harapan, to be held within this month.
However, state PKR chief Mustapha Sakmud said Sabah PH will settle internal discussions among components before starting negotiations with other parties or coalitions on election alliances.
Both GRS and Barisan Nasional are courting PH for its support in the state election. BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi previously said PH and BN would form the foundation of the Sabah polls alliance, with other parties welcome to join.
