LHDN said it had conducted more than 60 audits on GISBH, its associated companies and individuals in previous assessment years and imposed fines and compound fines which had been paid by the respective taxpayers.
The board said it is continuously monitoring GISBH, associated companies and individuals for tax compliance, just as it does for other taxpayers, and “no special treatment has been accorded” to GISBH and associates.
The GISBH network is being investigated for alleged child abuse, sexual abuse, human trafficking and deviant Islamic teachings, among other alleged offences.
Over 300 people have been detained and more than 600 children and teenagers have been rescued from GISBH-linked welfare homes.
Last week, Razarudin said nearly all GISBH-related premises across the country are no longer in operation, adding that police are currently focusing on tracking down financial transactions and assets linked to GISBH.
GISBH previously said it had discarded its former image as the business wing of Al-Arqam, a cult movement declared deviant by the National Fatwa Council in 1994, and is currently positioned as a multinational company.
