PETALING JAYA:
Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain has denied allegations that senior police officers have been protecting Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings’ (GISBH) criminal activities.

Recently, TikTok posts claimed that several senior police officers were receiving bribes from GISBH and shielding the company – which has been mired in controversy following allegations of child abuse, sexual abuse and deviant Islamic teachings – from legal action.

Razarudin told Bernama the allegations were false and malicious, adding that the police have identified the “irresponsible parties” spreading the claims on fake TikTok accounts.

“We know fake accounts have been spreading slander (about the officers). The claims are untrue,” he said.

Razarudin said a special team from Bukit Aman’s criminal investigation department was also actively monitoring social media for statements made by individuals or groups in relation to GISBH.

He said this followed recent revelations by individuals as well as current and former members associated with GISBH.

After several police operations against GISBH, several people have taken to social media to share their personal experiences and perspectives on religious beliefs, including concerns over cult-like practices.

“We urge those with any information to come forward and assist with the investigation,” Razarudin said.

The company made headlines on Nov 11 when police raided welfare homes authorities linked to the company and rescued 402 children, some of whom were allegedly sodomised and coached to sexually assault others. Police then arrested 171 people, including an ustaz and a hostel warden.

Since then, 155 more people have been arrested, with 102 men and 84 women also rescued from premises linked to GISBH.

Four men linked to GISBH have since been charged with sexual assault while another person was charged with criminal intimidation for threatening a woman to withdraw a police report she made against the company.

29 linked to GISBH remanded

Today, 29 people, including 16 women, linked to GISBH were remanded for between one and seven days.

Bernama reported the order to remand the individuals, who are aged between 19 and 62, was granted by the Shah Alam magistrates’ court deputy registrar, Subri Hashim.

Police are investigating the group under Section 31(a) of the Child Act 2001, the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984, and the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007.

Selangor police raided several businesses believed to be linked to GISBH in Rawang yesterday morning.
