PETALING JAYA:
The late Eddin Syazlee Shith had been battling cancer since April, says the former Kuala Pilah MP’s wife. He died this morning.

Dr Nurul Azlin Ibrahim, 45, said her husband had not been active in politics since the diagnosis, with the former deputy minister opting to focus on his treatment.

“His illness had reached a critical stage, that’s why we brought him home from the hospital yesterday, on the doctor’s advice. Before that, he asked me to take care of our two sons and daughter as best as I could,” she said, according to Bernama.

Eddin, a Bersatu Supreme Council member, breathed his last at his home in Bukit Chedang, Negeri Sembilan, at 7.10am today. He was 50.

He was Kuala Pilah MP from May 2018 to November 2022 and had served as a deputy minister in four portfolios under three different administrations.

Eddin was laid to rest at the Bandar Ainsdale Muslim Cemetery after Friday prayers today.
