Zahid believes that the voters in the state constituency are discerning enough to determine which party is better suited at governing.
“Nenggiri voters are very astute; the national issues played up by PN do not resonate with them.
“However, state issues such as logging and water shortage, have long been known to the people of Nenggiri. There has been no resolution to these issues thus far.
“The public can evaluate not only the capabilities of the candidate but also the state administration, which has failed to address these issues in Nenggiri and Kelantan,” the deputy prime minister said at an event here.
Zahid was confident that BN candidate Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani would win the by-election this Saturday, based on the efforts the coalition’s machinery has put in so far.
The Nenggiri by-election will see a straight fight between Azmawi, who is also the Kelantan Umno Youth chief, and PN’s candidate from Bersatu, Rizwadi Ismail.
