Perak fire and rescue department assistant director of operations Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the department was alerted to the incident at 10.35pm.
He said firefighters reached the scene, about 25km from the nearest fire station, almost an hour later.
“The incident involved a Honda City that skidded into a ditch, resulting in almost the entire car catching fire, with one charred body found,” he said in a statement today, adding that the identity of the victim had yet to be established.
Sabarodzi said firefighters finished at 12.16am after extinguishing the fire. The body was retrieved and handed over to the police for further action.
