Batu Pahat Wanita Umno chief Haliza Abdullah said she learnt of Sharifah Azizah’s condition from several members of the women’s wing across Johor this morning, according to Berita Harian.

“Yes, it’s true. Sharifah Azizah’s condition is now critical due to internal bleeding,” she was quoted as saying.

“I, along with several members of Batu Pahat Wanita Umno, will visit her at Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Kluang this afternoon.”

Sharifah Azizah won the Mahkota state seat in the 2022 Johor election. She previously served as Penawar assemblyman from 2018 to 2022.

Pontian Wanita Umno chief Hasrunizah Hassan said Sharifah Azizah was hospitalised for internal bleeding in March.

“We had hoped that Sharifah Azizah’s health issue was resolved after she was discharged from the hospital a few months ago,” she said.

“However, we were surprised this morning to learn that her condition is critical.”
