PETALING JAYA:
Four teenagers were arrested by the police yesterday on suspicion of raping an 11-year-old girl, says Hilir Perak police chief Ahmad Adnan Basri.

He said the four suspects, aged between 14 and 17, were arrested at different locations between 3pm and 10pm after the victim lodged a police report at about 12.30pm, Harian Metro reported.

Ahmad said it is believed the girl went to the Lata Kinjang waterfall area in Tapah at 6.30pm on Wednesday with two of the suspects, who took turns to rape her in their car.

“At 8.30pm, the third suspect raped the victim when she went back to his house with him in the Hilir Perak district.

“The fourth suspect raped the victim at about 12.30am on Thursday in a bush area in Teluk Intan, while they were out for a walk.

“The four suspects, two of whom are still in school, have confessed to their involvement in the case, which is being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code,” he said in a statement today.

According to him, the girl knew the first suspect through social media and he introduced her to the other three suspects.

The suspects have been remanded until Sunday to assist in the investigation.
