KUALA LUMPUR: Police have recorded statements from 15 people, including the caterer, to facilitate an investigation into the deaths of a 17-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl from suspected food poisoning on June 8.
Gombak police chief Noor Ariffin Nasir said in a statement that those called to assist in the investigation were family members, a pathologist, the food provider and supplier.
“This brings the total number of individuals whose statements have been recorded so far to 15, and statements from other food poisoning victims will be recorded today,” he said.
The Selangor health department previously said that 82 out of 247 people were found to have symptoms of food poisoning after eating food prepared for the Gombak district-level “Kemahiran Amal Islami” programme involving 30 primary schools.
