Videos of the two animals running down the LDP in Kelana Jaya heading towards Puchong went viral. The cows had also caused a minor congestion on the highway.

Two men on a motorcycle appeared to be attempting to rein in the animals.

One video posted by a netizen on Facebook showed the cows crossing a divider and running into a Perodua Myvi, which crashed into one of them. The cow got up slowly and continued to run with the other animal.

The front of the car appeared to be damaged.

Petaling Jaya police chief Shahrulnizam Jaafar said they were looking into the incident though no reports had been lodged yet.

“I am also checking where the cows came from, whether they escaped while being confined for the (Aidiladha) sacrifices or if they escaped from their owners,” he told FMT.
