Mustapha, Peto to lead Sabah PKR election charge

New leadership lineup announced after deputy minister Mustapha Sakmud was appointed state chief to replace Sangkar Rasam.

Sabah PKR chairman Mustapha Sakmud and his deputy Peto Galim have been named to lead the party’s preparations for the state assembly elections expected next year.

In a state PKR leadership reshuffle announced today, Mustapha was named as strategy director and Peto as elections director, heading the state elections committee.

Mustapha, who is deputy minister of higher education, was appointed as state chairman on May 26, replacing Sangkar Rasam, who was named to the central leadership council.

Information chief Razeef Rakimin said three divisional leaders were named as vice-chairmen. They are Azmi Datu Tamboyong (Kinabatangan), Roslan Sapar (Kalabakan) and Raymond Ahuar (Pensiangan).

Other appointments: Sazalye Donol Abdullah as secretary with Thonny Chee as assistant; Abdul Razak Jamil (treasurer); Amin Abdul Mem (communications director); Wendey Agong Baruh (state organising secretary) with Remysta Taylor as assistant; Milus Alu (deputy information chief).
