KANGAR: Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail successfully underwent surgery on his left leg at Tuanku Fauziah Hospital here yesterday.
Istana Arau said in a statement today that Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin is in stable condition after the surgery.
According to Istana Arau, the Raja of Perlis will continue to recuperate in the hospital’s royal ward following the surgery.
It was previously reported that the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, had been appointed the Regent of Perlis for four months from May 15, in the absence of the Raja of Perlis for his leg surgery.
“The Regent of Perlis also has issued a call to all the people (of Perlis) to continue to pray for the well-being and recovery of the Raja of Perlis,” read the statement.
