PETALING JAYA:
Johor menteri besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi has again appealed to the immigration department to urgently resolve the worsening congestion at the Causeway and Second Link connecting Singapore and Johor.

Posting a picture of motorcyclists crowding at the entrance of one of the customs, immigration and quarantine (CIQ) complexes, Onn Hafiz said Johoreans should not have to face such treatment.

“On behalf of the people of Johor, who face this daily, I urgently ask the top brass of the immigration department to immediately resolve the congestion at both the Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) and Sultan Abu Bakar Complex (KSAB) CIQs.

“The people should not be troubled in this manner. How long more will they have to suffer as victims of this situation?” he said on Facebook.

On June 15, Onn Hafiz told his administration not to take the congestion at BSI and KSAB lightly, adding that it had gone on for decades.

The menteri besar has personally visited BSI and KSAB numerous times to find solutions to the congestion on the two routes, which are used by approximately 300,000 Malaysians every day.
