In a statement, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) said the condition of the two people on board the BK160 Gabriel, including the pilot, has yet to be confirmed.
CAAM said the light aircraft, operated by Air Adventure Flying Club, departed from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang for a recreational flight at 1.28pm.
It last made contact with air traffic control at 1.35pm, and there were no distress calls received before it crashed.
Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan said the authorities will issue a statement soon, Kosmo reported.
Earlier, videos circulating on social media showed debris believed to be from a light aircraft in an oil palm plantation.
FMT has reached out to Hussein and the Selangor fire and rescue department for more information about the crash.
