“It’s okay. No need to comment. If there is a bigger issue then I will comment,” he told reporters when asked.

Yesterday, Sanusi claimed that Perikatan Nasional (PN) had enough SDs to overthrow the unity government.

However, he did not provide any details, including the exact number of SDs that PN had obtained, especially from government MPs.

“It’s enough (the number of SDs), just wait for the day,” he said.

Sanusi had previously said that he did not believe the government would last a full term, and that he expected a new government to be in place by the end of the year.

He said it was “normal” in a democracy for opposition MPs to back the government and vice versa, and that it was also allowed under the Federal Constitution.

The Kedah PAS leader cited the pledge of support by five Bersatu MPs for Anwar’s administration to ensure continued development in their constituencies.

Sanusi’s remarks were in response to speculation over what has come to be known as the “Dubai Move”, in reference to alleged discussions that took place between opposition leaders and certain government representatives in the United Arab Emirates recently.

The alleged meeting, which Anwar and other top government leaders have played down, supposedly aimed to divide tasks among “agents” to identify MPs who could switch support to the opposition to form a new government.
