KUALA LUMPUR:
Former community communications department (J-Kom) director Agus Yusoff avoided reporters after giving his statement to the police today.

He was at the Kajang police headquarters with his lawyer, Zaflee Pakwanteh, at around 11am today to aid in an investigation into accusations of sexual harassment of J-Kom official Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani.

Agus then left the police compound at around 1.15pm while indicating to reporters that he did not want to be interviewed.

Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain had previously confirmed that police would investigate the accusations involving Agus, believed to have occurred at a hotel in Bintulu, Sarawak, on Oct 21.

The matter was revealed after Wahab made a police report at the Kajang police headquarters on Nov 30.

The investigation is being carried out under Section 354 of the Penal Code for molestation and Section 377D for outraging of decency.

Agus and Wahab had on Nov 17 held a press conference after a video of them apparently having an indecent conversation went viral on social media.

The video had allegedly been edited, with Wahab claiming that he was directed by a “Mr H” to record a video of his conversation with Agus.
