PUTRAJAYA:
The education ministry has been urged to set up a committee to monitor anti-establishment teachers.

Johor PKR delegate Haryati Abu Nasir said there was a worrying trend of public servants openly going against the government.

“We urge the ministry to create a monitoring committee due to the worrying trend of teachers not supporting the unity government,” she said in her debate on the president’s speech at the PKR congress held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre.

When met by reporters, Haryati said the committee should aim to monitor and identify the reasons for their opposition to the government.

She said the trend needs to be addressed immediately before it affects the government.

“They need to support the government as they are in the public service.”
