PETALING JAYA:
The police are expected to record a statement from a man known as “Mr H” over a video involving former community communications department (J-Kom) chief Agus Yusoff and another staff member.

Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said “Mr H” is expected to be present at a police station in Putrajaya at 5.30pm today.

Previously, Agus accused “Mr H” of being behind a video containing an alleged lewd conversation between him and another staff member.

Razarudin said so far, the police had recorded statements from three people and more would be summoned to facilitate the investigation.

He also urged another key individual in the video, Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jailani, to step forward.

The J-Kom staff member had earlier told FMT via his lawyer that individuals claiming to be policemen had gone to his house but refused to show their authority cards, causing him to fear for his safety.

The clip of a man resembling Agus having a purportedly indecent conversation with Wahab was widely shared online following speculation that Agus would step down from his post.

Both Agus and Wahab claimed in a media conference that the video was authentic but the audio had been doctored.
