The telco said areas in Pahang affected by the disruption include Bandar Tun Razak, Bentong, Bera, Indera Mahkota, Jerantut, Karak, Lipis, Maran, Mentakab, Pekan, Raub, Rompin and Temerloh.

The affected areas in Terengganu include Besut, Gong Badak and Hulu Terengganu.

“CelcomDigi is working to restore all services as quickly as possible and apologises to our customers for this disruption,” it said in a Facebook post.

Several frustrated customers took to social media to voice their dissatisfaction with the service interruptions.

“Hurry up and fix this problem. It’s difficult to work like this. Nowadays, everyone depends on the internet,” said Facebook user Amirulodi Nazri.

“Please be quick, it’s difficult to call people and get anything done,” said Facebook user Nurhayati Hamdan.

Another Facebook user, Tina Hashim, said the disruption would make it hard for businesses to operate.
