2 drivers hurt as woman in BMW crashes against flow of traffic

The car collided with a city-bound Bezza at the Penang Bridge exit on the island just past midnight. Both drivers were injured.

A man was injured in the abdomen after his car collided with a BMW driven by a woman against the flow on the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway at midnight last night.

Northeast district police chief Soffian Santong said the accident happened at about 12.30am at the Penang Bridge exit towards the city centre.

”A man in a Perodua Bezza from Sungai Petani, Kedah, was heading to Taman Kristal in Mount Erskine, when he collided with a white BMW driven by a woman against the flow of traffic.

”The man suffered injuries to his abdomen and is receiving treatment at the emergency ward of Penang Hospital, while the BMW driver is being treated at a private hospital for a chest injury.
