The incident purportedly led to a pursuit and the assault of the businessman.
When contacted, Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed that one of the suspects had been arrested.
“We have arrested a suspect and are searching for the others involved,” he told FMT.
A friend of the businessman who contacted FMT about the incident said it happened when the man was sending his employees to work in Kota Kemuning.
The businessman had driven into a parking spot when a white Myvi blocked the former’s car from behind, the friend claimed.
The businessman, believing he was going to be attacked by the occupants of the Myvi, allegedly rammed his vehicle into the car several times before fleeing the scene.
A video of the encounter was shared with FMT.
The men then purportedly gave chase and rammed their car into the businessman’s vehicle resulting in a crash.
The occupants in the Myvi then allegedly dragged the businessman out of his car and beat him up before fleeing with his valuables.
The businessman’s employees, two women, escaped unharmed.
He suffered fractures to his skull and has been admitted to a private hospital.
