Juwairiya is in a straight fight against Perikatan Nasional’s Azmin Ali, the former Selangor menteri besar and three-term Bukit Antarabangsa assemblyman.
Johari said the foundation for an effective federal and state government rested on political stability and capable leaders to drive the economy and bring benefits to the people, New Straits Times reported.
“There will be issues if both are not present.
“In other countries, the day after the elections, discourse on politics usually subsides. But it is different in Malaysia as even after polling day, we continue to talk about it.
“If we only talk about politics every day, the issues faced by the people will remain unresolved and the ones who suffer will also be the rakyat,” he was quoted as saying.
