PETALING JAYA: Police have seized over RM19 million worth of contraband cigarettes and alcohol as of March 21.
Police secretary Noorsiah Saaduddin said 119 people were nabbed in 21 raids conducted nationwide.
A total of 351,680 sticks of cigarettes as well as 290,008 cans and 2,200 bottles of alcoholic beverages were also confiscated.
Also seized were 27 vehicles, including 11 lorries and four vans.
Meanwhile, Noorsiah said subsidised goods such as cooking oil and petrol, worth a total of RM18,175,654, were seized since the beginning of this year.
A total of 76 suspects were arrested in 24 raids carried out nationwide.
