LAHAD DATU: Two men were injured when a fight broke out, believed to be the result of a provocation, during the Lahad Datu Umno division’s delegates meeting today.
One of the injured is an employee with the Sabah Umno liaison committee office while the other is a member of the Lahad Datu Umno Youth committee, police said.
Lahad Datu police chief Rohan Shah Ahmad said there were two male suspects, aged 33 and 38, who are also Lahad Datu Umno members.
He urged the public to stop circulating a video and photos of the incident because the case is still being investigated.
Rohan Shah said both suspects had given their statements to the police.
