Sng, who is also Julau MP, said this in response to the former Ampang MP as well as her staunch ally Haniza Talha criticising his leadership in the party.

Zuraida rebuked him for contradicting a resolution by the party’s highest governing body to appoint her as president, while Haniza accused him of acting unilaterally in deciding to join the unity government led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

“Zuraida and her supporters should do some soul-searching and perhaps take a back seat or call it a day in politics,” he told FMT. “Their voters have already rejected them.

“Which is why they lost their deposit in GE15. No one is interested in their opinions anymore.”

Zuraida failed in her bid to retain the Ampang seat in the recent general election (GE15), while Haniza lost in Hulu Selangor.

Earlier today, Haniza, who is also the party’s deputy president, urged the Registrar of Societies (RoS) to investigate Sng’s legitimacy as party president as she claimed that the party’s top leadership had “fully rejected” his presidency.

This comes after Zuraida criticised Sng yesterday over the way he was managing the party, calling him “immature and arrogant”.

Zuraida and Haniza were among the 13 PBM’s Supreme Council members who were suspended in October over alleged disciplinary issues.

Two of them were reinstated into the Supreme Council last week after having their suspension lifted.

Yesterday, a party insider told FMT that its disciplinary committee will decide the fate of the remaining 11 individuals in the party today.
