PETALING JAYA:
Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) has reinstated the positions of two of its Supreme Council members who had been suspended prior to the recent general election (GE15).

In a Facebook post, PBM president Larry Sng said the suspensions of Chua Lian Chye and Muniraa Abu Bakar had been lifted and their positions reinstated after a meeting with them yesterday.

The pair were among 13 PBM Supreme Council members who were suspended on Oct 28 for alleged indiscipline. This included former plantation industries and commodities minister Zuraida Kamaruddin, Lembah Jaya assemblyman Haniza Talha and Sementa assemblyman Daroyah Alwi.

The suspensions were in relation to the members’ alleged involvement in undermining the interest of the party and its leadership.

Sng said show cause letters would be sent to the remaining 11 Supreme Council members, who had decided not to attend yesterday’s meeting, by tomorrow.

“Failure to reply in writing within a week will be tantamount to their immediate expulsion from the party.

“Should they reply, I have instructed the disciplinary committee to resolve the status of those members before the end of the month,” he said.
