KUANTAN: A schoolboy sustained injuries after being beaten by an older student at a boarding school in Bentong yesterday, police said.
Bentong police chief Zaiham Kahar said the 16-year-old victim complained to his father of having pain in his abdomen and blood in his urine when he returned home.
The boy was brought to Bentong Hospital for treatment and a check revealed that his injuries were due to suspected beating.
“The victim then revealed that he had been beaten by a student while sleeping at the dormitory at 2am,” he said in a statement.
The student was taken to the district police station after which they contacted the school.
