He was responding to Kedah Amanah secretary Asmirul Anuar Aris who had accused PN of making racially-charged comments which were dangerous for the future of the country.
Kedah Pakatan Harapan (PH) chief Mahfuz Omar had also called for such content on TikTok and other social media platforms to be red-flagged as they were deeply divisive and pushed the “us against them” agenda.
Sanusi challenged Asmirul, who is the Kubang Rotan assemblyman, and Mahfuz to point out which parts of his speech were “dangerous”.
“Where is the danger? Why do they feel threatened? Which parts of the ceramah are they claiming to be charged with racial and religious sentiments?”
He told FMT that perhaps his speech was only considered “dangerous” to PH, not the entire country.

Sanusi said he had mentioned in his ceramah that a “Malay tsunami” had occurred in the 15th general election (GE15) as Malay voters had chosen to support PN instead of PH or BN.
“Check the figures and statistics,” he said.

Polling day for the Padang Serai parliamentary seat is on Dec 7. The Election Commission postponed the polls for this constituency after the original PH candidate M Karupaiya died three days before GE15 on Nov 19.
