Cops arrest couple after man dies of stab wounds

Police say the victim was suspected to be involved in an affair with a woman.

The suspects have been remanded for seven days until Dec 2 to assist in the investigation.
PETALING JAYA:
Police have arrested a married couple believed to be involved in the death of a man, who was stabbed yesterday.

In a statement, Kajang police said one of the suspects, a 51-year-old man, was believed to have stabbed the victim at a parking lot in Bandar Tun Hussein Onn yesterday after he allegedly caught the victim having an affair with his wife.

The victim was taken to Serdang Hospital but died at 11.05pm from serious injuries to the right lung, thigh and shoulder.

Both suspects have been remanded for seven days until Dec 2 to assist in the investigation.

Following the arrest, police also confiscated several items such as the victim’s car, four mobile phones, the suspect’s bloodstained clothes and the receipt for the purchase of a knife.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which carries the mandatory death penalty if found guilty.
