He replaces BN's Azlan Man who has held the position for two consecutive terms.

PETALING JAYA:
Sanglang assemblyman Shukri Ramli has been sworn in as the 11th Perak menteri besar.

Shukri, the Perlis Perikatan Nasional (PN) chief, took his oath of office before the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail, around 4pm at Istana Arau, Perlis, Bernama reported.

PN formed the state government after winning 14 out of the 15 state seats in the recent general election (GE15), in addition to sweeping the three parliamentary seats, namely, Padang Besar, Arau and Kangar.

Shukri replaces BN’s Azlan Man who held the position for two consecutive terms.

The Perlis PAS commissioner has been the Sanglang assemblyman for three consecutive terms since 2013.
