PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his son Mukhriz are both trailing in their re-election bids, according to unofficial results.
Mahathir, seeking a second term as Langkawi MP, has fallen behind BN’s Armishah Siraj, who has unofficially picked up over 1,600 votes.
Mukhriz, vying for the Jerlun seat for a third time, trails PN’s Abd Ghani Ahmad by over a thousand votes, according to MyUndi.com.
Elsewhere, Aminuddin Harun, head of Pakatan Harapan in Negeri Sembilan and menteri besar of the state, appears to have secured his first parliamentary victory. Unofficial results show he has won the Port Dickson seat formerly held by PKR president Anwar Ibrahim.
