Mahfuz Omar of Pakatan Harapan (PH) is seeking a fourth-term as the Pokok Sena MP, but some are not sure if they will vote for him again.
One of them is Kee Boon Loh, 49, who voted for the Amanah vice-president previously.
“I am not sure yet. Let’s wait until the last minute. Then we will see,” the grocery store owner said.

Kee said there has been no election buzz in Pokok Sena, and he does not even know who Mahfuz’s opponents from Barisan Nasional, Perikatan Nasional and Warisan are.
Kuih seller Nor Mariah Bakar, 47, said that although she will vote tomorrow, she has yet to decide on her choice.
She said she is disillusioned with politicians who make promises during election time, and do not keep them later.
“They will promise a lot of good things, but after they are elected, nothing happens,” she said.

Still, she hopes the next Pokok Sena MP will be vocal about the rising cost of living.
Amin Baharom, 39, said he is most likely to vote for PH, having done so in GE14.
“I see Anwar Ibrahim as the only one (leader) who can help the economy recover,” the restaurant owner told FMT. “I don’t see any other leader capable of doing this.”
Newspaper vendor Sasi Varathajo, 32, said he would also most probably vote for Mahfuz.
Describing himself as a fence-sitter from Kampung Yoi who did not vote in GE14, he said Mahfuz is approachable and cares about issues concerning rural communities.

Fruit seller Mad Isa Che Mat, 67, said he will be voting for Perikatan Nasional (PN) as he is a PAS supporter.
Mad Isa, from Kampung Tok Keling, cited Muhyiddin Yassin’s leadership as his reason for choosing PN. He described the former prime minister as a pious man whose father was an ustaz.
“He is a good leader. Plus, I have received cash aid (Bantuan Prihatin Nasional) from his administration. After Ismail Sabri Yaakob became prime minister, I did not receive any aid.”
Mahfuz will be up against Noraini Md Salleh (Warisan), Ahmad Yahaya (PN) and Noran Zamini Jamaluddin (BN) for the Pokok Sena seat.
