PETALING JAYA:
An actor is to be investigated for criminal intimidation and for intent to incite for having said he wanted to “slaughter kafir harbi” (enemies of Islam) in a speech earlier this month.

Federal police secretary Noorsiah Saaduddin said Zul Huzaimy will be investigated by the classified investigations unit.

Zul has since apologised for his remarks which were made on Nov 4 in Terengganu, which were captured on a widely-shared video clip.

He said the contentious portion of his speech had been taken out of context.

PAS election director Sanusi Md Nor has since denounced the actor’s remarks after social media users questioned the Islamic party as the actor has been seen campaigning for PAS.
