Klang Utara police chief S Vijaya Rao told FMT that another man who recorded the act was also arrested.
He said the duo had turned themselves in at the Klang Utara police headquarters last night.
Rao confirmed that they were employees at a hospital in the district.
“Both are under remand for three days to facilitate the investigation,” he said.
Yesterday, Rao said the case was being investigated under Section 298A(1)(a) of the Penal Code for causing disharmony or disunity.
The clip showed a man stepping on the kolam and using his foot on parts of the decoration. An onlooker could be heard saying “vandalism”.
KPJ Klang Specialist Hospital had started an internal investigation into the video and promised stern action against its staff if they were involved.
