Lim Lip Eng was commenting on Hadi’s latest speech that PAS was “delaying” its cooperation with Umno under the Muafakat Nasional (MN) pact as some leaders in the party were corrupt and greedy for power.
“Why didn’t Hadi say that Barisan Nasional (BN) is filled with corrupt leaders when PAS was in (former prime minister) Muhyiddin Yassin and (caretaker Prime Minister) Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s Cabinets?
“I call upon the police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to record statements from Hadi because his party used to work with the coalition.
“There is a huge possibility that he has information on (alleged) acts of corruption that involve BN ministers and its component parties,” he said in a statement.
Lim, who was Kepong MP until the dissolution of Parliament, also called out Hadi for his baseless claim that there were “communists and anti-monarchists” in Pakatan Harapan. The PAS president had reportedly said this at a ceramah in Marang on Friday.
He challenged Hadi to file a report within 48 hours if this claim was true since it involved acts of treason against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, which is a serious crime.
“If Hadi fails to file the police report, it means that he lied at the ceramah and he should apologise to the King and to the people as well,” he added.
