KUALA LUMPUR: Six investigation papers into a celebrity preacher for alleged sexual assault have been referred to the deputy public prosecutor, police said today.
One investigation in Kuala Lumpur is ongoing, said police secretary Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin in a statement tonight.
She said the investigation papers had recommended that the suspect be charged under the Sexual Offences Against Children Act in four cases in Selangor and two in Negeri Sembilan.
So far, a total of seven police reports have been lodged against the celebrity preacher who has been released on police bail.
The media had reported that a male celebrity preacher was arrested by police to assist in the investigation into the cases of sexually assaulting several underage boys whom he got to know after doing motivational programmes at schools.
