PETALING JAYA:
A PAS assemblyman has cried foul after it was revealed that party representatives have not received allocations from the Umno-led Barisan Nasional (BN) Pahang government since January.

Panching assemblyman Tarmizi Yahaya told FMT the RM20,000 allocation that was channelled to PAS after the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government took over Putrajaya in March 2020 has been terminated without any notice.

“The state governments take allocations (from the federal government) but don’t give them to PAS assemblymen,” he said. “This is not fair. They must remember that the allocation (the state gets) is the result of Bersatu and PAS’ support at the federal level.”

PAS has eight representatives in the 42-seat state legislative assembly.

Tarmizi said he believed the termination was caused by discord within Muafakat Nasional at the federal level.

He said that since Umno assemblymen still received their allocations in the PAS-led states of Terengganu, Kelantan and Kedah, the same should be done in Pahang.
